Welcome!

Welcome to our 2016-2017 SEMINAR SERIES

In beginning our 97th year, the Colorado Prosthodontic Society Board of Directors and I would like to sincerely welcome you to the 2016 – 2017 Seminar Series. Our varied continuing education program of six seminars includes speakers from truly diverse professional, academic and cultural backgrounds to provide you with the latest trends and techniques found in modern dentistry.

Our first speaker in September is Dr. Gary Alex who will bring us his daily practice insights on Occlusion and Comprehensive Dentistry. Mid-fall,  Dr. Steven LoCascio will provide us with Recipes for the Predictable Treatment of the Edentulous Patient with Implant Assisted and Supported Prostheses. Before we break for the holidays, Dr. David Guichet will examine the many compelling benefits to utilizing emerging digital technologies for designing and creating restorations in modern implant dentistry.

In February 2017 our seminar series continues with Dr. John Sorensen who will also address the application of new digital technology and evolving modern materials in esthetic fixed prosthodontics. In March, Dr. Mark Murphy will examine methods for surviving and thriving in the rapidly changing environment of dental care delivery models and practice reimbursement. Too many dental practices are falling victim to the downward spiral of low fee PPO insurance while working much harder to earn less. Dr. Murphy will present strategies for you and your team to provide your patients the care they deserve while maintaining a better balance for you. We then end the seminar series with Dr. Gilles Lavigne. Several of our recent speakers have showcased his research on Dental Sleep Medicine in their presentations and now we will have the opportunity to learn directly from Dr. Lavigne regarding the relationship between sleep apnea, sleep bruxism and orofacial pain.

Again, I welcome you to another fulfilling Seminar Series from the not-for-profit Colorado Prosthodontic Society which is committed to science and practice based dental continuing education for all dentists from nationally and internationally recognized presenters without the compromise of corporate support. It is my sincere desire to provide you with the knowledge and insight to better serve your patients and practices through this 2016 – 2017 program.
