Minimally Invasive Dentistry is Not a Technique, it’s a Philosophy

This lecture frames minimally invasive dentistry as a philosophy rather than a single technique, covering its levels of intervention from prevention to full mouth rehabilitation. Topics include when full-coverage crowns are still indicated, evaluating new restorative materials for esthetics/strength/tooth preservation, evidence-based ceramic selection, and adhesive system selection.

The annual membership meeting will be held at 8am on April 5th, 2027. All dentists, laboratory technicians, and team members are invited.

Learning Objectives

  1. Define the philosophy of Minimally Invasive Dentistry and its levels of intervention
  2. Recognize when full-coverage crowns remain indicated
  3. Evaluate restorative materials for esthetics, strength, and tooth preservation
  4. Select ceramic restorations using evidence-based guidelines
  5. Apply adhesion principles for different restorative materials
