Biography:
Dr. Daniel Pompa is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with fellowship in both The American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Daniel Pompa practiced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for over 30 years in New York City, and now lectures full-time.
Dr. Pompa has been cited as a “Leader in Dental Continuing Education” in “Dentistry Today” magazine every year since 2018. He has been, and continues to be, a guest speaker at a number of dental schools throughout the country, and has presented over 500 lectures both Nationally and Internationally. Dr. Pompa has published in numerous journals including: The “Journal of the American Dental Association”, “Dentistry Today”, and the “New York State Journal of the Academy of General Dentistry”. In addition, Dr. Pompa is an inventor, having been issued a U.S. Patent for his contribution in developing a protocol for CT Guided Surgery in Dental Implantology which has been cited today by over 350 new patents.
Objectives
- Discover three simple chair-side, non-invasive tests to help avoid an emergency
- Recognize the most frequent life-threatening emergencies and know when and why they occur
- Review a systematic approach to treat the most common life-threatening scenarios
- Learn how to develop a plan for the office team when dealing with a crisis event
- Determine when to administer the essential “Top 10” emergency drugs
- Understand legal and moral obligations presented by medical emergencies
